What's this about?
I have always enjoyed cooking and food. I did Baby Led Weaning (BLW) and never spoon-fed or pureed anything for ½.
½ is now 4. She is not massively adventurous with food but does eat most things. The rule is that she needs to try everything and it's OK not to like something, but she has to try. My other rule is that when it's a Mummy day, I will make a meal with someone new/different/experimental/exciting and the other meal will be something I know she will eat.
Even when I wasn't single I cooked - everyday stuff as well as more 'exciting' stuff on weekends. And I have loads of cookbooks, look online all the time for ideas and get recipe cards and magazine with food ideas. I am yet to come across a 'serves 1' or even better 'serves 1½' recipe and whilst it's great to freeze stuff, I always have to modify and think of ways to reuse/re-purpose otherwise large quantities - so here's my journey...
