A hot weekend - quick let's camp!

There was a hot weekend due, so ½ and I took advantage and went for a short camping trip somewhere fairly local - only 45minutes away.

This lovely site, Town Farm, near Leighton Buzzard was cheap and close. No onsite shop or pub but the weather was so impressive that there was no need to go and hide in a pub to warm up before bedtime. Glorious weather meant I was able to cook too!

First night was pasta and sauce. Second night I got some chicken breasts which I pan fried. Served with carrots and potatoes from the pick-your-own farm down the road. And pudding was a treat - cream donut!

The campsite allowed fire pits, which could be hired from Charlie, the owner. I didn't get one, but our lovely neighbours did and invited me to join them when the children were asleep to eat toasted marshmallows!
